Arm Lift Surgery (Brachioplasty)

The passage of time, the effects of gravity, significant weight fluctuations and even hereditary factors can lead to the accumulation of excess fatty deposits and loose, slackened skin in the upper arms, or so called 'bat-wings'.

Arm Lift surgery, also known as a Brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure which aims to address this excess skin sagging and fatty tissue in the under portion of the upper arm, between the armpit and elbow. The result is tighter skin and a smoother, firmer and more youthful contour with reduced overall circumference.

In some cases where there are excess fatty deposits in the upper arms but the skin elasticity and firmness remain in good condition, Liposuction alone may be required. However, often in individuals who suffer from loose skin with or without fatty deposits, Liposuction can be used in conjunction with Arm Lift Surgery for the best results.

Alternatively, in patients who have minimal upper arm excess fat which is located near the armpit, Liposuction may be combined with arm surgery consisting of an incision limited to the armpit in order to pull the skin of the upper arm in an upwards direction resulting in limited scarring.
